17:00 – 17:30 Her Majesty Ambassador Louise De Sousa
Louise joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1991 after a short period in the private sector following completion of her degree at Bristol University in ancient history and archaeology.
Before beginning her appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Chile in March 2021, Louise was previously Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Tunisia. Louise has also headed the Mediterranean Department in the Europe Directorate, and before that she led the Human Rights and Democracy Department.
Louise has been posted to Brasilia as Second Secretary (1993-1996), Maputo as Deputy High Commissioner (2003-2006) and Nairobi as Deputy High Commissioner (2007-2011).
Her roles in London have also covered environment policy, international drugs and crime policy and the Overseas Territories. She was Secretary to the FCO’s Board of Management from 1998 to 1999.
17:30-18:30 HM Trade Commissioner for Latin America and the Caribbean – Jonathan Knott
Jonathan Knott became Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Latin America and the Caribbean in February 2021. He became Her Majesty’s Consul General in São Paulo in August 2021 when he arrived in Brazil. Jonathan joined the UK Diplomatic Service in 1989. His previous roles include:
- Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Hungary and then Poland
- Deputy Ambassador and Trade Director in South Korea
- Deputy Finance Director at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO)
- UK Trade Policy Negotiator at the OECD
- Diplomatic posts in Mexico and Cuba
In 2019 HM the Queen honoured him as a Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG).
Jonathan has a master’s degree in law, is a qualified management accountant and has qualifications in leading change in large and complex organisations. He speaks 5 languages.

17:00 – 18:00 Professor Barry Hedley
Barry’s early career was with The Boston Consulting Group, which he joined in Boston after gaining a Baker Scholarship and MBA from Harvard Business School. He was then part of the team that established BCG’s London office in the early 1970’s, where he became a Director. After a stint at Courtaulds running part of the International Paint business and working on strategy for the Chairman he founded his own international strategy, financial consulting and private equity firm Braxton Associates, which later became the global strategy practice of Deloitte Consulting, of which he was Chief Executive, building it to around 1000 consultants in over twenty offices worldwide. He returned to Cambridge in 2000 where he focuses on developing strategy formulation and execution processes, which are capable of operating rapidly in changing environments, frequently supported by novel software platforms. This has led him to his current role as Chairman of Dialectyx, a private company which offers on-line and direct educational and corporate talent development services in both entre- and intra-preneurialism. He is also an active “angel” investor and his current activities in this regard include a biomass-to-biofuels venture, (see

Roberta is the Regional General Manager Stills for Brazil and South Cone at The Coca-Cola Company. Board Member. Dr Panikkos Poutziouris is the Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Business and Rector at UCLan Cyprus, and Chair of CEDAR- Centre for Entrepreneurial Development Alliance and Research. He is also a Fellow at Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, working with the Economics and Policy Group on Circular Economics and Entrepreneurial Development Models. For two decades, he was a Senior Lecturer and later a visiting Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Business at the Alliance Manchester Business School-UK where his initiatives enjoyed support from NatWest Bank, Grant Thornton, BDO Stoy Hayward, KPMG, EY, PWC, Saggita Fund Management, Tilney Investment Management, Sand-Aire Private Equity, UBS Wealth Management; he cooperated with FBN-International, FFI, IFB UK, Coutts, JP Morgan etc.
Professor Poutziouris has been leading a number of teaching, training, research and consultancy initiatives around the world with a focus on the entrepreneurial development of family business across generations. He has served as an advisor–consultant for the Family Business Expert Group working for the European Commission, Directorate of Enterprise and Industry and for OECD on Entrepreneurship Policy. He is an active Fellow of the FFI-Family Firm Institute and former President of IFERA- International Family Enterprise Research Academy. He has been honoured by FFI – USA with the International Award for promoting family business entrepreneurship across frontiers.

Stephen Lile is Managing Partner at Oxbridge Capital Partners and Advisor to Oxbridge Angels Fund. He holds an MBA from Cambridge University where he also expects to complete his PhD in Engineering in 2021. Stephen has also completed the Private Equity Programme at Oxford University Saïd Business School.
Stephen is Co-Founder of Emmy Award winning Ensequence Inc, multi-founder, C-level executive and investor with a 20-year history of building companies on a global scale and getting exits. He has extensive corporate governance experience and served on several profit and non-for-profit boards over the last 25 years. Stephen’s professional reputation spans Hollywood, Silicon Valley, Silicon Forest and Wall Street.
He has produced 75 hours of network television, launched 3 globally disruptive media-technology companies, and was the presiding banker for Hollywood Entertainment at Bank of America.
Stephen executive produced the independent film After… (winner of Worldwide Premier 2006 AFI Film Festival), which gained European theatrical distribution in Europe and Asia with worldwide streaming distribution on Netflix. Stephen was a member of the Oregon Governors Asian Economic Summit and has been recognized by the Governor of Oregon as one of Oregon’s Media Technology Pioneers and Innovators.

ALLVP was founded in 2012 in Mexico City with the ambition to enable founders to impact visibly the Latin American entrepreneurial ecosystem, it is one of the most active Series A fund in the venture capital industry in Latin America. Jerry’s career journey led him to venture capital from being a principal scientist. He brings 24+ years of experience in R&D and venture investment covering life science (digital health, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals) and deep technology (big data, machine learning and AI).
As an innovator and investor, always enthusiastic to push the boundaries, drive the innovation, foster the collaborative network with industry, academic and government partners within the bioscience and high-tech ecosystem. Jerry maintains an active network in golden triangle Cambridge-London-Oxford and beyond, and interacts with start-ups/scale-up accelerator and incubation hubs. He is also interested in entrepreneurship and understanding how big pharma and high-tech can support innovation. As an enthusiast of university-based entrepreneurial ecosystem, Jerry is a mentor at Cambridge Judge Business School and London & Partners.
As a principal scientist, Jerry has interdisciplinary R&D experience at both pharmaceutical/biotech and academy. Skill set includes digital health, real world evidence, informatics, image analysis, high-throughput screening, systems biology, AI and machine learning, plus strong project and stakeholder management skills.

Dr. David Lenihan is the co-founder and CEO of Tiber Health. Cambridge EMBA. He is driven by a relentless commitment to making medical education more accessible for students of all backgrounds and income levels. An experienced entrepreneur, educator and medical practitioner, he has witnessed first-hand the limitations of the traditional medical school model and resolved to create a better, more inclusive and effective one.

Professor Sola is full Professor at ESCP Business School teaching in London, Paris and Madrid. His research interests are in corporate transformation, entrepreneurship, and applied enterprise economics with a particular focus on the Scale Up phases of Exponential technologies. He teaches the core courses of Strategy and Entrepreneurship across all the ESCP Business School Masters. He leads the J. B.
